BalFolk (aka French Dance) Workshop at CMU
October 28, 2017 | 3pm -6pm
Fabien and Lisa will teach traditional French Dance. Music by John Sarney and Friends.

Workshop and dancing from 3pm-6pm Light Refreshments. Cost: donation of your choice, free for students.
Location: Carnegie Mellon Campus, Skibo Small Gym in the Skibo Gymnasium on Tech Street near Margaret Morrison St.

Pardon My French BalFolk Workshop at the Pittsburgh Fall Dance Weekend

As part of the Pittsburgh Fall Contra Dance Weekend, Pardon My French will offer a Bal Folk workshop during the afternoon on Saturday.
Location: St. Nicks Cathedral, Oakland. Â
Cost: part of the full weekend. Workshops can be purchased individually or for the day- price to be determined.

French Dance under the Tent (aka Bal-Folk)
Saturday, August 26th
3pm to 6pm
Join us for a Bal-Folk, aka a participatory dance under the Tent. We'll gather for traditional French music and dancing. Live music with Pardon My French. Come listen or come dance, no experience is necessary. All dances will be taught, no partner needed. Free! Light refreshments will be provided.
French Traditional dance (aka Bal Folk) includes many kinds of dance from partner dances, set dances, chain dances, and more.

All of the dances are simple to get started, but have optional layers of interest and complexity for years of enjoyment. Join our facebook group "French Dancing in Pittsburgh" for updates on our monthly dance programs.
We'll dance a sample of Bal-folk including Hanter Dro, An Dro, Valse, Mazurka, Schottische, Cercle Cicassien, Chappeloise, Bourrees, and more.
After the dance party we'll have an open French Music jam, from 6pm to ??

Bastille Day Celebration at Gaby Et Jules Patisseries
Friday July 14 2017Â | 6-8pm
Pardon My French will be playing a selection of French Traditional music for your listening pleasure. Â Come sample the wonderful French pastries and macarons at the Gaby et Jules Patisserie. Â Note: Â Forbes Avenue will be blocked off for the Vintage Grand Prix, Â so take a nice walk, enjoy checking out the vintage cars, and join in the neighborhood party.
